You may have seen a fresh face around Ellis Wastewater. We’re excited to officially welcome Mike Sargent as our new Regional Sales Manager. Although he’s new to the company, he’s very familiar with the wastewater industry, coming to us from a centrifuge manufacturer working with both public municipalities and industrial operations.
Mike wore a lot of hats during his previous role. He has experience in process engineering as well as sales management. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a certification in Technical Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He continued his education at the same institute and got his Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Because of his in-depth understanding of the engineering behind the equipment, he is able to more effectively work with customers to find the right treatment technology for their unique set of needs.
Outside of Ellis, Mike enjoys biking and going out with friends. He’s very close to his big family—he’s one of six siblings— and was happy that Ellis brought him closer to his hometown of Evanston, IL. As a true Chicagoan, Mike is a Cubs and Bears fan, although he does branch out with an occasional round of golf. He’s also very committed to doing charity work and frequently volunteers with the Misericordia, a special needs home in Chicago dedicated to maximizing the potential of those with mild to severe developmental and physical disabilities.
We’re glad to welcome Mike to the Ellis Wastewater team.
